Ghajini is a 2008 Bollywood film produced under the Geetha Arts banner by Allu Aravind. Releasing on December 25, 2008 in India, it stars Aamir Khan, Asin and Jiah Khan in lead roles. Ghajini is a remake of the Tamil film Ghajini which was also directed by AR Murugadoss.

After playing an empathetic teacher in Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan is all set to play something much more thrilling in remake of a Tamil film Ghajini.

Set and filmed mostly in India, Ghajini is a romantic action thriller that explores the life of a once-rich businessman who suffers from short term memory loss following a violent encounter. His only aim is the pursuit of vengeance: tracking and punishing the man who murdered his girlfriend. His life becomes a quest for justice.

But he can't remember what happened 15 minutes ago, where he is, where he's going or why. Haunted by the memory of his lover, he re-builds his life out of photographs, tattoos and obsessive habits that stand in for memory.

Good news for all those eager Aamir Khan fans is his new look in Ghajini, where the explorative Khan has gone nearly bald with grooves on his scalp. The actor also shows off his eight-pack in the film, for which he had to undergo rigorous training for almost a year.

A. R. Rahman has scored the music for the film whilst Ravi K. Chandran and Anthony handle cinematography and editing of the film respectively. The film began shooting in May 2007, with songs having been shot in the Deadpan Desert of Namibia and in Cape Town, South Africa. The film is regarded as the most awaited Bollywood movie of 2008.
